Free Grind signs in directly with Grindr. Your password goes to Grindr (or Google/Facebook) only, never to a Free Grind server.
The sign-in screen offers these methods:
Email and password
Enter the email and password of your Grindr account. If you forgot your password, tap Forgot password? and Grindr sends you a reset link.
Sign in with Google
For accounts created with Google.
- Choose Google and tap Sign in with Google.
- A Google window opens. Sign in there.
- Pick the Google account of your Grindr profile. The window closes by itself and you're signed in.
This works on every platform. On Android the Google window runs in a built-in browser, because Google refuses the system WebView that the rest of the app uses.
Sign in with Facebook
For accounts created with Facebook.
- Choose Facebook and tap Sign in with Facebook.
- A Facebook window opens. Sign in there.
- Allow Grindr to use your Facebook account. The window closes by itself and you're signed in.
Sign in on another device (QR code)
If you're already signed in on one device, you can move the session to another device without typing your password:
- On the signed-in device, open Settings and tap Sign in on another device. A QR code appears.
- On the new device, tap Signed in on another device? Use a QR code on the sign-in screen.
- Scan the QR code, or tap Copy code on the first device, send the code to the new device and paste it.
Some sign-ins can't be moved. In that case, sign in with email and password or Google instead.
SMS verification
Sometimes Grindr requires an account to verify a phone number before it can sign in. Free Grind then shows a Verification screen: enter your phone number, tap Send code, and enter the code you receive.
Create a new account
Tap Sign up on the sign-in screen to create a new Grindr account with email and password. This is only available on Android, because it needs captcha verification.
Multiple profiles
You can add more accounts with Add Profile and switch between them without signing out.
